Vice President, Business Development, Beauty & Consumer Goods 3PL
Job Description
The PCA Group seeks a strategic Vice President of Business Development for Beauty and Consumer Goods 3PL to secure new partnerships and broaden the company’s logistics footprint across beauty, cosmetics, skincare, wellness, and consumer packaged goods, through tailored supply chain solutions. This executive role is based in Melville, NY with remote work options.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and win new 3PL partnerships within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, wellness, and consumer goods sectors; design and implement strategic sales programs to grow market share and revenue.
- Apply industry expertise to deliver customized 3PL solutions, including warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, retail distribution, kitting, subscription box fulfillment, transportation management, and inventory optimization.
- Develop and sustain relationships with potential and existing clients; assess each brand’s operational needs, growth objectives, and service expectations to provide scalable logistics solutions.
- Monitor trends in beauty, wellness, retail, and consumer goods markets, including e-commerce shifts, retailer compliance, and consumer purchasing behavior; use insights to identify opportunities and shape strategy.
- Contribute to a high-performance sales culture focused on revenue generation, client acquisition, and long-term account growth.
- Lead proposals, RFPs, RFQs, pricing strategies, and service agreements; negotiate contracts and SLAs that align capabilities with client expectations and profitability goals.
- Oversee the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation; maintain a strong pipeline and provide regular forecasting and KPI updates to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, transportation, and finance teams to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support for new clients.
- Identify untapped opportunities within emerging beauty and consumer brands; promote innovative logistics solutions that enhance speed to market, scalability, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Track BD KPIs, pipeline performance, and revenue growth; continuously evaluate sales strategies and operations alignment to exceed objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or fulfillment services with a strong emphasis on business development and new client acquisition.
- Proven success in achieving aggressive sales targets, securing large contracts, and expanding a business portfolio in the 3PL or logistics sector.
- Demonstrated success selling logistics and fulfillment solutions to beauty, wellness, cosmetics, consumer goods, or retail brands; solid understanding of omnichannel fulfillment, DTC operations, retail distribution, warehousing, and transportation management.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals; ability to sell complex logistics solutions to senior-level decision-makers.
- High energy, self-motivated, and goal-driven with a passion for winning new business and contributing to company growth.
- Experience leading and mentoring sales teams; ability to inspire and manage a high-performing, target-driven group.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.

- Salary commensurate with experience, USD 145,000 to 170,000 annually
