Business Development Director
Job Description
Based in Atlanta, GA (onsite), Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced director-level business development leader to drive growth in the Resources sector across North America. This role centers on opportunity formation, deal spotting, and building a portfolio of new client relationships for TCS. The position carries a salary range of USD 180,000 to 380,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and other business development efforts.
- Build strong, sustainable relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted firms.
- Work closely with TCS market development and solution sales teams to ensure offerings meet client business and technology needs.
- Provide support to clients during initial engagement phases and follow up to ensure satisfaction throughout the relationship lifecycle.
- Contribute to market research and competitive positioning analyses in partnership with regional presales, marketing, and product development staff.
- Adhere to all TCS corporate policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to spark interest, establish credibility, and build trust.
Requirements
- Strong hunter profile with a proven track record selling technology outsourcing and digital transformation services in the Resources industry, across both proactive and reactive opportunities.
- Consultative selling experience with the ability to lead transformation and business-purpose driven discussions.
- Demonstrated consistent over-achievement of client acquisition targets.
- 12-15 years of experience selling the full spectrum of IT Services, including Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, AI, and Business Process Services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations.
- Team leadership capability with the ability to manage large pursuits.

Travel
- The candidate is expected to travel to customer locations to support lead generation, sales presentations, negotiations, and ongoing relationship building within the assigned accounts.
- Candidate should reside within the region assigned to the position.
Education and Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
