Job Description

LinQ Transport is seeking an experienced business development professional to join its freight brokerage team in Bedford. This onsite role focuses on growing a book of business within transportation and logistics, prospecting new customers, negotiating favorable rates, and coordinating closely with operations to ensure smooth execution across shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand a book of business within the transportation and logistics sector
  • Prospect, cold call, and cultivate long-term relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and warehouses
  • Negotiate rates to maximize revenue and margins
  • Collaborate with operations and carrier sales teams to ensure successful execution
  • Manage customer relationships through proactive communication and problem solving
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and capacity conditions
  • Maintain high activity levels and a strong sales pipeline

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year of freight brokerage, logistics, or 3PL sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Competitive mindset with a hunter mentality
  • Self-starter who thrives in a results-driven environment
  • Ability to build relationships and close business
  • High energy, motivated, and coachable

Compensation

Salary: USD 50,000 - 100,000 per year
