Business Development - Industrial transformation lead

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Development lead to own the line-of-business pipeline for AWS Automotive & Manufacturing. This onsite role in Irvine, CA centers on translating operational technology challenges into AWS cloud solutions through executive-level engagements, shaping strategy and driving adoption across strategic manufacturing accounts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align offerings with customer needs and accelerate deal flow.

Location: Irvine, CA (onsite) • Salary: USD 147,900 - 200,100 per year • Min. experience: 5 years

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a core member to shape market share and strategic direction for AWS within the Automotive and Manufacturing sectors.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan aligned with AWS’s broader direction, working with account teams, industry solution architects, service teams, marketing, partners, and legal.
• Segment and size opportunities, identify and engage key customers and partners including ISVs and system integrators, and execute the go-to-market plan.
• Act as the go-to expert on AWS capabilities that support Manufacturing and Supply Chain offerings.
• Build the business development pipeline by engaging with prospects and partners and accelerate existing deals.
• Understand customer technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to influence product and solution directions for the industry.
• Proficiently use Salesforce.com and other internal systems.
• Present business reviews to senior management on progress and roadblocks in expanding our industry reach.
• Support the account team in complex contract negotiations and coordinate with legal and compliance groups.
• Manage a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast-paced cloud computing market.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technology-driven problem solving in the Automotive & Manufacturing industries.
• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
• 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including mainframe, serverless, containers, or cloud operations experience.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse business and technical audiences.
• Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that span cross-functional teams and integrate business and technology.
