Jan-Pro Development of Columbus, Central GA & Auburn, AL is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our commercial janitorial services footprint in Central Georgia. This hybrid role based in Warner Robins, GA offers a competitive base salary of USD 50,000 to 60,000 per year, plus uncapped commissions tied to new account sales, recurring revenue growth, and account retention. You’ll collaborate with certified business owners and our operations team to deliver outstanding service, secure new cleaning contracts, and nurture long-term client partnerships. Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships within the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face appointments with prospective clients
  • Perform facility walkthroughs and needs assessments
  • Prepare proposals and presentations
  • Negotiate and close commercial cleaning contracts
  • Attend networking events, chamber meetings, BNI groups, trade associations, and community events
  • Meet or exceed monthly activity goals for prospecting calls, appointments, proposals delivered, new accounts sold, and monthly recurring revenue generated
  • Allocate approximately 70 percent of time to business development activities
  • Support service delivery and client retention through periodic quality audits, client visits, and coordination with Certified Business Owners and the Operations Team
  • Serve as the main client contact, addressing concerns promptly with our certified business owners
  • Monitor service quality through regular site visits and brand standard audits
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by resolving issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to service standards
  • Manage special services and contract renewals for assigned accounts
  • Provide responsive, professional, and proactive customer service
  • Foster long-term client relationships and exceed expectations
  • Collect customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and retention
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competition, and market conditions
  • Analyze customer needs and adapt service offerings accordingly
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, account status, and operational performance
  • Track metrics such as new monthly recurring revenue, new accounts, qualified appointments, proposals delivered, client retention, and satisfaction scores

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and account management, ideally in commercial janitorial or facilities management
  • Strong history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing client relationships
  • Operations or service delivery management experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
  • Proficiency with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem-solving and decisive thinking capabilities
  • High school diploma required; degree in business or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel within the market is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
