Job Description

LINAK U.S., Inc is looking for a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth within its TECHLINE portfolio across the United States, operating onsite in Louisville, KY. This hunter-style role centers on uncovering, developing, and securing new opportunities with Construction, Agriculture, and Defense OEM customers through the sale of electric actuators and motion solutions. It demands strong technical acumen and frequent in-person engagement with customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Construction, Agriculture, and Defense markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand LINAK TECHLINE actuator sales across the U.S.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers, engineering teams, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct frequent in-person customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions, with travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and applications teams to formulate customer-specific solutions.
  • Lead the sales process from initial opportunity identification through quotation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs to inform growth strategy.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline activity and report progress toward business development goals.

Requirements

  • Must be resourceful and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent phone skills are essential.
  • A proven history of identifying customer needs, developing technical solutions, and communicating them persuasively.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Industrial sales sector.
  • Experience with the Off-Highway industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
