Job Description
Urban Infraconstruction is looking for a Business Development Director to help drive strategy and growth in the Texas market for heavy civil and water resource infrastructure projects. This onsite role in Farmers Branch, TX centers on building durable relationships, creating and qualifying opportunities, and supporting proposal and capture efforts through clear pursuit leadership and consistent pipeline reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company growth goals across the Texas market.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including developers, municipalities, public agencies, engineers, and industrial clients.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in heavy civil, water/wastewater, utilities, and data center infrastructure.
- Own pursuit strategy, including opportunity qualification, client engagement, competitive positioning, and teaming approaches.
- Partner with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to support proposals, presentations, and project capture.
- Maintain an active pipeline using CRM tools, providing regular reporting and revenue forecasts to leadership.
- Represent the company at industry events and strengthen partnerships with contractors, engineering firms, and strategic partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development experience in heavy civil construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Established network and working relationships with owners, engineers, developers, or public agencies in Texas.
- Proven track record of identifying opportunities, building pipeline, and supporting the capture of major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction delivery methods including hard bid, negotiated, design-build, and CMAR.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally as required.
