Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a Business Development Managing Vice President to lead and develop a team focused on expanding high-value Strategic Account relationships and driving measurable revenue growth. This onsite role in New York, NY partners across Strategic Accounts, field leadership, Talent Solutions, Managed Solutions, and Protiviti to deliver a unified, client-centric experience.

In this leadership position, you will provide oversight for Premier Strategic Accounts and other priority strategies, coach Business Development Vice Presidents on higher-skilled opportunity expansion, and use account data and Salesforce activity to guide performance, manage risk, and prioritize resources.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Strategic Accounts Business Development Vice Presidents to achieve revenue goals, portfolio growth targets, client engagement expectations, and key performance objectives.
  • Drive Direct Contact Account growth by expanding relationships with hiring decision-makers, senior executives, geographies, and practice groups within assigned Strategic Accounts.
  • Provide leadership oversight for Premier Strategic Accounts and other high-value client strategies, including account plans, pursuit strategies, coordinated action plans, and measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Partner with senior field leadership and experienced field teams to identify opportunities, coordinate joint client engagement, remove roadblocks, and accelerate job order generation and fulfillment.
  • Ensure disciplined execution across Strategic Accounts priorities, including Direct Contact Account growth, Premier Account strategy, account fulfillment, client retention, and enterprise go-to-market partnership.
  • Coach Business Development Vice Presidents to expand higher-skilled opportunities across practice areas.
  • Lead team execution of account strategy sessions, portfolio reviews, business reviews, client roadmaps, organizational mapping, and senior-level client engagement plans.
  • Collaborate with Client Acquisition and Expansion Vice Presidents to support new account launches, transition planning, and early revenue acceleration.
  • Reinforce account standards across pricing discipline, contract compliance, fulfillment expectations, and partnership with Strategic Account Support Services, legal, operations, and contract administration teams.
  • Coordinate with Managed Solutions, NTA, and Protiviti partners when client needs extend beyond core Talent Solutions while maintaining clarity on client experience, relationship ownership, and go-to-market alignment.
  • Use data, dashboards, Salesforce activity, account insights, client feedback, and revenue trends to coach performance, identify risk, prioritize resources, and maintain accountability.
  • Support a culture centered on communication, collaboration, inclusion, recognition, accountability, and strong field partnership to reinforce shared ownership of Strategic Account growth.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in staffing, professional services, enterprise account management, strategic account business development, or business development leadership.
  • Prior Robert Half field leadership experience as a Regional or District leader preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a tenured business development team.
  • Ability to drive revenue growth across complex, multi-location, enterprise-level clients and expand relationships with executives and functional decision-makers (including hiring leaders, procurement, and HR).
  • Strong understanding of strategic account growth motions, including account expansion, new account launch execution, client pursuit strategy, business reviews, client visits, and cross-practice revenue growth.
  • Ability to sell and coach teams to pursue higher-skilled, project-based opportunities across multiple practice areas.
  • Executive presence with strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and influence skills, including comfort engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly collaborative and data-driven approach to building trust with field leadership, internal partners, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including interpreting account data, identifying trends, prioritizing action, and removing barriers to revenue growth.
  • Domestic travel up to 25% as business needs require.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Typical salary range: $107,000 to $155,000 per year.
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience and location.
