Job Description

BBB Heart of Texas, based in Austin, is seeking a results-driven leader to guide its Business Development Sales team. The role centers on accelerating sales and revenue growth, shaping the growth strategy for Texas, and building a world-class sales organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this position carries a high-profile leadership focus within BBB.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a sales-driven, performance-based culture within the Business Development Team.
  • Motivate managers and staff by staying accessible, positive, and solution-oriented.
  • Improve existing lead funnels and client outreach for current and future accredited businesses, coordinating implementation across all sales channels.
  • Partner with the executive team to develop growth strategies.
  • Establish accountability by refining metrics and aligning compensation and promotions with those metrics.
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, making adjustments to sustain growth.
  • Set short-term targets and long-term strategy, including revenue forecasting.
  • Oversee the revenue cycle from customer acquisition through engagement to success, ensuring effective processes.
  • Address management gaps by hiring, developing, and training personnel in Sales and Account Management.
  • Design and implement robust sales management processes, including pipeline management, account planning, and proposals.
  • Encourage a lean startup mindset with ongoing experimentation and learning.
  • Leverage customer research to provide strategic leadership for brand promotion and positioning.
