Job Description
This fully remote Culinary Sales Manager role focuses on new business development for restaurant chain and c-store accounts, partnering with culinary leadership to drive revenue growth at Basic American Foods.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue novel business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging revenue streams.
- Establish and sustain relationships with clients, vendors, distributors, and community partners.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market presence and profitability.
- Perform market research and analyze industry trends to uncover growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with chefs and operators to design customized menu solutions.
- Work with senior leadership to craft and execute strategic business plans.
- Negotiate pricing agreements, oversee client onboarding, and manage account activities.
- Represent the company at networking events, food shows, and industry functions.
- Support the culinary team in planning and executing major food industry events and customer showcases.
- Participate in and contribute to product ideation sessions.
Requirements
- Culinary background with 3–5+ years of experience in business development, culinary management, hospitality, or food service leadership.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a culinary degree is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated, creative, and innovative with a proven drive to achieve results.
- Strong analytical capabilities and account planning skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 70 percent of the time and reside near a major airport.
- Preference for candidates located in the Midwest region of the United States.

Competitive compensation includes a base salary range of $130,000 to $145,000 annually, with the final offer determined by experience and skills. In addition to the base salary, the role participates in a sales incentive plan.
