Role overview: This field-based sales leadership position guides a district Customer Team in Cardiovascular Disease for the Kansas City area, with a focus on coaching, training, and delivering sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and mentor a district Customer Team of Representatives to achieve robust sales results by accurately identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to enhance team skills and effectiveness.
  • Oversee training programs and manage all people-related processes for the customer team, ensuring ongoing development and optimal resource allocation.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
  • Willingness to travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement, with possible overnight stays. Details discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with a minimum of 5 years in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Preferred qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as MBA or MS in Science, Business, or Healthcare
  • At least 3 years collaborating with key thought leaders or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire successful sales teams, preferably within the Cardiovascular market, with prior Field Sales Management experience
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience coaching sales teams to leverage tools and technology for gathering customer insights and enhancing sales impact
  • Experience selling and leading teams in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device industries
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining relationships and networks within customer organizations

Travel and location

Location: Kansas City, MO (onsite)

Travel: 25% of the time, may include overnight stays
