Director, Business Development - Base salary plus commission or variable comp
Job Description
A remote, full-time Director of Business Development role at Voiant Clinical focuses on driving growth initiatives and revenue in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities
- Establish new client relationships and pursue new business through multiple sales strategies.
- Actively manage selected current accounts as directed by senior management.
- Lead negotiations with prospective clients and partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements and maintain existing client relationships.
- Broaden current business by raising awareness of and promoting the company\u2019s services.
- Research and identify opportunities to generate additional business where appropriate.
- Review responses to RFPs and RFIs, executive summaries, and pricing with relevant management staff.
- Track and report the status of all sales activities in Salesforce as they occur.
- Prepare, edit, and deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Manage assigned opportunities through the full sales development lifecycle from pre-RFP through contract execution.
- Work independently and with a team on special projects, including planning and coordinating presentations, mailings, brochures, and related activities.
- Participate in activities to support the team\u2019s management functions.
- Achieve assigned sales targets.
- Lead the development of marketing plans, sales plans, and competitive analyses as required by the manager.
- Perform other duties as directed by the manager.
- Oversee market research initiatives to stay ahead of industry developments and competitor activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in business development or sales leadership within a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years\u2019 imaging experience in a similar or complementary role; an operational background such as project management is a plus; sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter mindset.
- Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, solve administrative problems, and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to foster strong teamwork internally to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to translate customer needs to the Voiant team.

Compensation
Base salary range USD 95,000 to 105,000 per year, plus commission or variable compensation.
