Job Description

District Sales Manager for Central Michigan onsite in Lansing, MI, leading the area sales team to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a sales team of representatives with clear goals, strong accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement to exceed budgets.
  • Develop and implement the annual district sales and expense plan at the representative and account level, aligned with business objectives.
  • Design innovative strategies to increase margins, expand account penetration, and cultivate durable partnerships.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure seamless customer service and effective solution delivery.
  • Foster a positive, high performance culture that supports the Service First philosophy.
  • Track district results including product mix, line-item growth, profitability, receivables, and market opportunities.
  • Lead sales meetings, product trainings, workshops, and field development experiences.
  • Collaborate with HR and Sales leadership to recruit, onboard, and coach strong sales talent.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and professional development plans, celebrate wins, and develop future leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years of proven sales experience in the foodservice industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, coaching acumen, and the ability to energize others.
  • Strong communication, influencing ability, and confident presentation skills.
  • Proven capability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and craft winning sales plans.
  • High organizational skills, results-driven mindset, and a service-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on field leadership.
