Job Description
District Sales Manager for Central Michigan onsite in Lansing, MI, leading the area sales team to drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a sales team of representatives with clear goals, strong accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement to exceed budgets.
- Develop and implement the annual district sales and expense plan at the representative and account level, aligned with business objectives.
- Design innovative strategies to increase margins, expand account penetration, and cultivate durable partnerships.
- Work cross functionally to ensure seamless customer service and effective solution delivery.
- Foster a positive, high performance culture that supports the Service First philosophy.
- Track district results including product mix, line-item growth, profitability, receivables, and market opportunities.
- Lead sales meetings, product trainings, workshops, and field development experiences.
- Collaborate with HR and Sales leadership to recruit, onboard, and coach strong sales talent.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and professional development plans, celebrate wins, and develop future leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of proven sales experience in the foodservice industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, coaching acumen, and the ability to energize others.
- Strong communication, influencing ability, and confident presentation skills.
- Proven capability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and craft winning sales plans.
- High organizational skills, results-driven mindset, and a service-oriented approach.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on field leadership.
