Generator Business Development Manager
Job Description
Flender seeks a Generator Business Development Manager to drive North American growth of the Winergy Generator Service portfolio, combining business development, technical support, indirect sales, and partner enablement.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute sales strategies targeted at Wind Generator Service solutions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of service opportunities via CRM and provide monthly reports on sales performance and forecasts.
- Analyze market trends and competitive activity to shape pricing and positioning for the service portfolio.
- Achieve or exceed regional generator service sales targets through indirect channels and support for internal and external accounts.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic reporting to keep commercial efforts aligned with sales goals.
- Assist with pricing, budgeting, and operational planning for new service initiatives.
- After internal training, serve as the North American subject matter expert on generator related topics.
- Manage spare parts listings, transfers, and associated customer pricing.
- Coordinate with global technical support to address local needs for technical information.
- Expand and manage relationships with Generator Certified Service Partners (CSPs) to meet quality and commercial expectations.
- Assist in onboarding, training, and certifying third-party partners to grow service capabilities and coverage in North America.
- Identify strategic opportunities to enhance partner network effectiveness and explore potential joint ventures.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in industrial services, electrical equipment, or wind/generator-related industries.
- Experience in business development, service sales, or product management.
- Solid knowledge of electrical machinery or wind generators.
- Ability to manage complex partner relationships within matrixed sales environments.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting, preferably Salesforce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; SAP and Team Center are a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, and product management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 20 to 40 percent.
