North America Sales Director - Assembly Material Division
Job Description
The North America Sales Director for the Assembly Materials Division leads AIM Solder's NA sales organization, shaping strategy, growing revenue, and managing customer relationships across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, reporting to the President.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the North America sales force, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, target setting, and coaching.
- Partner with the President to establish goals and regularly assess performance to ensure accountability.
- Coordinate sales activities and provide guidance at potential and existing accounts throughout North America.
- Collaborate with the President to drive gross margin improvement.
- Define and implement corporate guidelines for sales activities.
- Align with the Business Development Team to promote a cohesive approach for strategic accounts.
- Maintain fluent coordination among all Sales Managers to ensure consistency.
- Support the marketing department in developing effective programs.
- Prepare sales forecasts and revenue projections.
- Participate in pricing approvals to ensure profitability and sustainable accounts.
- Manage sales team expenses efficiently and within budget.
- Interface with the credit department as needed.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows.
- Oversee distributor and manufacturers’ representative programs.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of soldering materials and electronic assembly (PCBA) processes, with knowledge of decision making within complex potential customers.
- Proven track record selling and managing consumable products in the solder and assembly materials space.
- Minimum of 10 years in sales and at least 3 years leading a sales force in North America, with recent experience (past 2 years) planning and executing sales and marketing tactics and programs.
- Ability to travel regularly within North America.
- Undergraduate degree or higher.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish and French is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the North American market culture.
