Phone Sales Manager
Job Description
Mallory Portraits is hiring a Phone Sales Manager/Booking Manager to lead a team of 4+/- reservation specialists. This is a working sales leadership role with remote capability, focused on converting warm leads into booked portrait sessions using a one-call close approach and deposit collection.
Role Overview
As the Booking Manager, you will manage and coach the booking department, ensuring every warm lead is handled with a structured phone sales process. The team’s responsibility is to secure the appointment and collect a deposit on the first call, every time. You will have ownership of the CRM and core sales systems, while also participating on the phones for a portion of each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4+/- reservation specialists who convert warm leads into booked portrait sessions, collecting a deposit on every call.
- Convert warm leads into booked portrait sessions and collect a deposit on the first call, every time.
- Serve as a working manager by being on the phones for part of your day and providing coaching as a primary focus.
- Implement marketing campaigns and maintain complete ownership of the CRM and sales systems.
- Manage Slack for the company and maintain sales AI employee documentation in Claude.
- Make follow-up calls to clients (40% of your week).
- Support recruitment (30% of your week).
- Lead training and meetings (20% of your week).
- Manage scheduling, handle escalations, analyze call center data, and report results to ownership daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Run daily mini-huddles via Google Meet.
- Conduct weekly 1:1 scorecards with each specialist.
- Perform call reviews.
- Hire and train new reservation specialists as needed.
What Success Looks Like
This role is oriented around performance metrics and accountability. You will operate as a closer who can describe results in measurable terms such as booking rate, show rate, calls per hour, and conversion rate. You will coach using specific skill-gap feedback and review calls when team performance changes.
Requirements
- Proven track record in outbound phone sales with demonstrable performance numbers including booking rate, close rate, and conversion rate.
- Call center or phone sales team management experience is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience coaching individuals to address specific skill gaps, not general motivation.
- Tech fluency with GHL, Acuity Scheduling, Google Meet, Slack, Claude, and Indeed.

Compensation and Schedule
- Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
- OTE: $100,000.
- 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid schedule: Tuesday to Thursday in-studio, with Monday and Friday remote.
