Job Description

A project leadership and business development role focused on marine construction, accountable for guiding projects from contract execution through completion while expanding the client base through relationship-building, networking, and sales activities. This onsite position is based in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple construction projects from award to closeout, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and production targets to drive on time and within scope delivery.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, coordinating with field teams to maintain progress.
  • Monitor costs and track financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project specifications to safeguard project interests.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including permits, RFIs, submittals, inspections, daily reports, and closeout packages.
  • Perform regular site visits and coordinate with field supervisors to meet production objectives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues, delays, and budget concerns.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to ownership and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, HOAs, engineers, developers, general contractors, municipalities, and waterfront property owners.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities and assist with lead generation and industry involvement.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to develop project opportunities and support proposal development.
  • Assist with estimating efforts and convert leads into signed contracts while maintaining a project pipeline.
  • Collaborate with ownership on sales strategy and market growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience in construction.
  • Strong proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marine construction, including seawalls, docks, marinas, pile driving, boat lifts, and shoreline stabilization.
  • Background in related industries such as shell construction, pool construction, hardscape and outdoor living projects, site development, specialty concrete, or civil construction.
  • Established industry relationships in South Florida.
  • Experience with estimating and business development, plus knowledge of permitting and waterfront construction regulations.

Compensation

  • Salary range: USD 90,000 – 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Sales commission on sold work.

Experience

  • Multi-project construction management: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office and Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Managing subcontractors, vendors, and project documentation: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Construction management software: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Marine construction experience: 1 year (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's license and ability to travel to project sites (Preferred)
