Regional Sales Director
Job Description
Inizio Engage is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead the field organization for Tonix Pharmaceuticals within a defined territory focused on the fibromyalgia space. This onsite Pittsburgh role reports to the Area Sales Director and centers on developing Account Manager capabilities, executing regional sales strategies, and driving sustained performance across key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Steer regional sales to consistently meet or surpass targets across the assigned region
- Build, recruit, hire, and guide a high-performing sales team
- Coordinate in-field activity to deliver results with designated accounts
- Optimize market segment dynamics and team performance to improve top-line and bottom-line results
- Plan and conduct the regional action plan and necessary meetings
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve or exceed regional sales objectives
- Maintain current technical knowledge to respond accurately to product, policy, and business questions from staff and customers
- Operate with urgency and thorough follow-up while upholding high integrity in all interactions
- Step in to cover key accounts (virtual or in-person) as needed during account manager vacancies
- Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures, GMPs, and SOPs
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support Tonix on various business programs
- Collaborate regularly with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to align strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS), preferably in life sciences or business administration, from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years in sales leadership with a proven record of developing talent and delivering results
- Experience in patient access and market access pull-through is required
- Ability to provide candid, effective feedback and manage performance efficiently
- Knowledge of FDA Marketing Compliance, PhRMA Guidelines, and the Sunshine Act
- Willingness to travel 3–4 days per week, including overnights and some weekend travel
- Strong team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong planning and organizational abilities
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized, results-driven problem solver who collaborates well with cross-functional teams
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and mobile technologies
- Experience in fibromyalgia, rheumatology, neurology, or pain management is preferred; product launch experience is a plus
