Regional Sales Director
Job Description
The Regional Sales Director will build and lead a high‑performance sales organization in the Greater Miami, FL area, with Houston, TX considered, to drive revenue growth and meet corporate objectives. This is an onsite role based in Miami, FL.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with corporate objectives, leveraging market insights and trends to drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to generate proposals and sales documents that support revenue goals and overall strategy.
- Oversee sales management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and incentive planning, to ensure effective resource allocation and performance monitoring.
- Stay informed on food safety regulations and industry trends, adjusting sales strategies to preserve a competitive edge.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the sales team, clearly communicating vision, supporting development, and taking corrective action when needed.
- Establish competencies and processes to build an efficient and capable sales organization focused on performance excellence.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, adapting plans to meet or exceed targets.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing competitiveness by tracking market demand, trends, and competitor activity.
- Build strategic customer relationships by identifying key accounts and negotiating contracts and agreements aligned with financial goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to address business issues and capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensure effective onboarding, development, and ongoing training for sales team members, with emphasis on offerings and food safety requirements.
- Monitor operational execution to assess service quality and customer satisfaction, providing feedback for improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of food safety regulations, recalls, and customer needs to refine strategies as needed.
- Attend relevant meetings and conferences, including FDA, USDA, and other food safety events, to stay current.
- Adhere to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, enforcing compliance and reporting issues as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, food logistics or processing, or sciences, with 8+ years of food safety or relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience managing a direct sales force.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Residence in the Greater Miami, FL area or Houston, TX area.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish.
- Established relationships with retailers, growers, and related stakeholders.
