Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager for Central and Southeast Ohio will drive growth for Kappus Company by expanding an established territory, developing new business, and representing foodservice equipment manufacturers to a diverse set of buyers. Based in Columbus, Ohio, this onsite role emphasizes field engagement across the region and travel as needed to cover the territory.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and grow an established sales territory throughout Central and Southeast Ohio.
- Develop new business while nurturing and expanding relationships with current customers.
- Sell across multiple channels, including end users, chain accounts, dealers, broadline distributors, and design consultants.
- Assess customer needs and propose equipment solutions that boost operational performance and profitability.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and account management.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations, presentations, and customer training when appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth ordering, delivery, installation, startup, and ongoing customer support.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage opportunities, log activities, and maintain accurate forecasts.
- Foster strong relationships with manufacturer partners and stay informed on product offerings, promotions, and industry trends.
- Represent Kappus professionally at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and association functions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering exceptional service before, during, and after the sale.
- Consistently achieve sales, margin, and market share objectives.

Background and Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of outside sales experience
- Preferably experience in foodservice equipment, restaurant operations, commercial foodservice, beverage equipment, hospitality, distribution, or related industries
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the territory
Preferred Education and Experience
- College degree required
- 5–7 years in a sales role, preferably in foodservice equipment
- Ability to assess and manage project timelines, coordinating lead times to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to lead others through change and operate effectively in an evolving setting
