Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
Oversee regional sales activities in Syracuse, NY onsite, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution to drive regional growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the regional sales team to meet personal quotas and regional targets.
- Monitor weekly sales performance, analyze outcomes, and deliver actionable insights to leadership with recommended improvements.
- Provide ongoing in-person coaching across all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, lead management, telemarketing, and store or foot traffic considerations.
- Ensure disciplined CRM usage for pipeline management, activity logging, and forecast reliability.
- Lead weekly sales meetings and training sessions to drive accountability and skill development.
- Develop and sustain a network of centers of influence and referral partners to maintain steady lead flow and market visibility.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales talent to expand the team and maximize market opportunities.
- Directly engage in prospecting, networking, and closing activities when the region requires additional capacity or during growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at community and networking events to enhance brand visibility and strengthen referral partnerships.
- Provide field-derived insights to inform companywide marketing and sales strategies.
- Develop and execute action plans to meet sales operational objectives, while improving production, quality, and service standards and identifying process enhancements.
- Forecast regional sales quotas, revenue and profit targets, analyze market trends, and recommend pricing or positioning adjustments.
- Assess client needs, competitive positioning, and emerging trends to capture market opportunities and increase regional share.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company and client information to protect organizational value.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education, networking, and industry involvement to stay current on trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of successful B2B sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
- Minimum of 3β5 years in management or leadership positions overseeing a sales team
- Demonstrated ability to increase revenue and manage regional or territory-wide sales goals
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; capable of coaching, mentoring, and motivating a sales team
- Experience taking a hands-on role in sales production when necessary to achieve regional goals
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with referral partners, centers of influence, and networking contacts to generate leads
- Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Apps, and CRM systems
- High level of discretion, flexibility, and ability to collaborate closely with executive management
