Job Description

FGA Powered by Govconnect LLC is seeking a results-driven Sales Development Representative to work onsite in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, driving growth through proactive outreach, lead qualification, and relationship-building in a technology-focused environment. You will collaborate with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and support the sales team as opportunities are developed.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to prospects through outbound calling and warm introductions to spark interest in our solutions
  • Assess needs of both inbound and outbound leads to determine fit with our offerings
  • Communicate with prospects to demonstrate understanding of their business challenges and objectives
  • Work with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and nurture leads generated by marketing
  • Keep precise records of all interactions in the CRM, including Salesforce, to ensure data integrity and timely follow-up
  • Research target industries and accounts to uncover new business opportunities
  • Assist the sales team by scheduling meetings, preparing outreach materials, and supporting lead nurturing activities

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or telemarketing, with a focus on technology or software solutions
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence decision-makers
  • Experience with CRM software, especially Salesforce, to manage customer interactions and the sales pipeline
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts
  • Experience in technical sales or business development in a technology-driven environment is preferred
  • Proven ability to run outbound calling campaigns and handle objections professionally
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies for lead generation and customer engagement is a plus
