Sales Development Representative
Job Description
IT Indianapolis is hiring a Sales Development Representative to generate qualified sales opportunities for the sales team through outbound calling campaigns, lead qualification, and appointment setting. This role is based in Indianapolis, IN with remote work options and a salary range of USD 55,000 to 70,000 per year. The position focuses on handling assigned contact lists, initiating contact, qualifying prospects, and scheduling discovery meetings for senior sales representatives.

Responsibilities
- Make a minimum of 75 outbound calls daily to assigned prospects and contact lists
- Systematically work through marketing-provided contact lists and call assignments
- Qualify prospects by identifying current IT provider, business needs, decision-making timeline, and budget authority
- NaviGate gatekeepers to reach the appropriate decision-makers when the initial contact is not the right person
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings for senior sales team members
- Execute structured calling scripts and follow-up sequences provided by marketing
- Maintain accurate and current prospect information, call results, and communications in HubSpot CRM
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads and inbound inquiries as assigned
- Provide feedback to marketing on prospect responses, objections, and market intelligence
- Participate in regular training, coaching sessions, and call reviews
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity and appointment-setting goals
- Update contact records with new decision-maker information discovered during calls
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, call center, or business development
- Demonstrated ability to handle rejection and maintain productivity in an outbound calling environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, internet, and basic software applications
- Ability to work independently and manage daily call assignments
- Coachable attitude and willingness to follow established processes and scripts
- Available to work Eastern Time business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)
