Sales Engineer / Assistant Sales Manager – Electronic Components
Job Description
Support a global electronic components manufacturer by driving customer relationships, technical solutions, and new business growth onsite in Rolling Meadows, IL.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Assess customer needs and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and new customer accounts
- Create sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and product information
- Deliver technical and commercial support across the sales cycle
- Coordinate with Engineering, Customer Service, Procurement, Accounting, factories, and warehouses
- Support product demonstrations, evaluations, and technical discussions with customers
- Track industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
- Support sales forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and customer agreements
- Maintain accurate sales activity and customer records
- Support achievement of sales and revenue targets
- Develop and implement sales strategies
- Prepare annual sales forecasts and monthly sales activity reports
- Manage and develop key customer accounts
- Negotiate annual contracts and pricing agreements
- Support, train, and enable sales representatives
- Monitor sales performance and sales-related expenses
- Support development of new markets and additional business opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Recent graduates and early-career candidates may be considered for the Sales Engineer level
- 3 to 5 years of B2B sales, technical sales, or account management experience is preferred for experienced-level candidates
- Experience in electronic components, electronics, semiconductors, automotive electronics, or related technical products is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-service orientation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate product benefits to customers
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with both U.S. and international teams
- Willingness to travel as required

Compensation
- USD 70,000 - 110,000 per year
