Job Description

Drive revenue and elevate guest experiences at Vinarosa Resort & Spa, where you will lead group business and corporate and wellness retreats from first conversation through final account handoff. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this onsite role in Santa Rosa, CA focuses on building new relationships, expanding key accounts, and protecting the resort’s luxury standards while hitting ambitious goals.

As Sales Manager, you will help create strong booking momentum by managing the end-to-end sales process for group business, corporate and wellness retreats, weddings, and social events. You will also collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Catering, and Operations to ensure smooth handoffs and consistently exceptional events.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full sales cycle for group business, corporate and wellness retreats, including prospecting, qualification, site visits, proposals, contract negotiation, and account management.
  • Hit annual revenue, booking pace, and future-year goals while maximizing profitability across assigned market segments.
  • Develop new business through proactive prospecting, market research, networking, referrals, and industry or community partnerships.
  • Build long-term relationships with corporate and meeting planners, travel advisors, event professionals, wellness leaders, and other key partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Lead resort tours, site inspections, and client presentations; create tailored proposals and event solutions aligned with client needs, resort luxury standards, and financial targets.
  • Grow total resort revenue through strategic upselling of guest rooms, food and beverage, spa services, wellness programming, and resort amenities.
  • Oversee booked business from contract through execution, maintaining accurate documentation, banquet event orders, billing details, and timely client communication.
  • Represent Vinarosa Resort & Spa at trade shows, networking events, sales missions, destination marketing activities, and professional organizations to strengthen awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Track market trends and competitive activity, and maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, account activity, and CRM records.
  • Attend sales, revenue, marketing, and leadership meetings, serve as a polished brand ambassador, and complete additional duties or special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

What you bring

  • Two to three years of relevant sales experience, or a college degree plus at least one year of related experience.
  • Luxury or upscale hospitality and event sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven performance in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work weekends and client events as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, organization, presentation, and negotiation ability.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, collaborative, dependable approach with sound judgment, integrity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Delphi, Opera, and event management software preferred, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Compensation: USD 72,000 - 82,000 per year
