Sales Manager, Account Management team, Public Sector Finance, LE, GBS
Job Description
The Sales Manager will lead and develop a quota-bearing team of 6-8 sales professionals focused on Gartner's Public Sector Finance, LE, and GBS, directing revenue generation from Arlington, VA with a hybrid work arrangement. The role offers a compensation range of USD 150,000 to 214,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed financial targets
- Develop and implement plans aligned to the broader sales strategy to deliver business results
- Recruit and retain top sales performers using Gartner's validated recruitment methodology, emphasizing a candidate pipeline for potential open territories
- Foster high activity by leading team prospecting sessions with direct reports
- Ensure each team member can establish and sustain C-level relationships
- Provide leadership by clearly communicating Gartner's global strategy to the team
- Regularly coach and develop direct reports
- Enhance team performance through strong leadership and mentorship
- Take responsibility for personal growth and support the team's professional development
- 7-15 years of consultative sales experience in high technology (services, software, or hardware), including at least 3 years in a management role
- Internal candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of financial performance, with 2+ years of QB sales experience in Gartner MA or Gartner management experience
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and motivate sales associates
- Strong business acumen, forecasting and influencing capabilities, and interpersonal skills to share knowledge and support the sales growth strategy
- Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen, and effective people management
Requirements
