Terminal Operations / Sales Manager

Zipp Express is hiring a full-time Terminal Operations / Sales Manager in Scott City, MO. This in-person role combines relationship-focused sales with day-to-day shipment oversight, requiring experience in transportation sales and the ability to coordinate with carriers, shippers, and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage client and carrier relationships by performing cold calling, qualifying prospects, and closing deals in a fast-moving sales environment.
• Use negotiation skills to establish competitive pricing for both carriers and shippers, supporting mutually beneficial agreements.
• Oversee daily shipments to help ensure on-time pick-up and delivery, responding quickly to unexpected issues by coordinating between IC and Company Drivers.
• Stay current on industry trends by analyzing market data and monitoring market dynamics.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience selling transportation services, including LTL and Courier services.
• A customer-centric mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
• Comfort working in situations with ambiguity.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Experience managing Independent Contractors and company employees is preferred, but not required.

Work Location and Compensation

• Location: Scott City, MO (onsite)
• Compensation: USD 55,000 - 65,000 per year
