Job Description

This role targets a seasoned Business Development leader focused on industrial transformation for Automotive and Manufacturing, driving cloud adoption and OT to AWS solutions for large manufacturing customers. The position is onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a core member of the team to expand market share and shape strategy for the Automotive and Manufacturing sector.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with AWS direction, coordinating with account teams, industry solution architects, service groups, marketing, partners, and legal.
  • Segment the market, identify and engage key customers and partners including ISVs and system integrators, and create and implement the go-to-market plan.
  • Serve as the primary expert on AWS capabilities that support Manufacturing and Supply Chain offerings.
  • Grow the business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners and accelerate active deals.
  • Interpret customer technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to steer the direction of industry product and solution offerings.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com and other internal systems to manage activities and insights.
  • Present business reviews to senior management detailing progress and obstacles in expanding our industry presence.
  • Assist the account team in complex contract negotiations and coordinate with legal and compliance groups.
  • Manage a high volume of engagements and interactions within the fast moving cloud computing market.

Requirements

  • Six or more years applying technology to solve problems in the Automotive and Manufacturing industries.
  • Five or more years in Go-To-Market, business development, sales, or consulting roles.
  • Five or more years working with enterprise application modernization and migration technologies, including mainframe, serverless, containers, or cloud operations.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse business and technical audiences.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-year cross-functional initiatives spanning business and technology.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
  • Experience interpreting data and delivering business recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Compensation

USD 147,900 - 200,100 per year

A Day in the Life

  • A substantial portion of the day involves customer engagement and supporting account teams, with travel as required.
  • Participation in team calls, reporting, and business reviews, with escalation of resource or technology constraints as needed.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of AWS capabilities and collaborating with stakeholders to guide solution offerings while managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced cloud environment.
  • Support for internal and external events.
  • Contribute to strategy development and initiate your own projects and initiatives.
