What you will do
In collaboration with the Publications & Sales, Professional Education, and Membership & Marketing teams, you will drive all conference and marketing related revenue generation beyond registration and dues. You will establish and implement a corporate revenue sales infrastructure to grow through advertising, conference sponsorships, special events, and corporate and foundation support, with room to grow and define the role.
- Direct, solicit, and negotiate the end-to-end business development process.
- Identify internal partnership needs across Academy functions.
- Source potential corporate partners and negotiate high-value benefit packages.
- Finalize agreements through formal contracts and letters of agreement.
- Provide high-level account management for multiple corporate accounts to ensure consistent engagement.
- From introducing new opportunities to reporting campaign performance metrics, manage the full lifecycle of outreach.
- Deliver revenue performance aligned with budget by growing exhibit booth, advertising, and sponsorship sales.
- Strategically increase participation in Corporate Membership.
- Maintain ongoing communications and account management with exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors.
- Procure display advertising across print, electronic, and conference-related publications and on the association website.
- Secure exhibitors and sponsorships for the annual scientific session and virtual education initiatives.
- Develop sponsorship opportunities aligned with current industry trends and conference locations.
- Oversee the Corporate Membership program, focusing on retention and new member recruitment.
- Collaborate with Marketing to fulfill deliverables sold to sponsors and advertisers.
- Coordinate billing with Accounting to ensure accurate invoicing for all sales.
- Provide targeted support to help resolve severely overdue accounts.
- Contribute to strategic budgeting for corporate revenue streams, ensuring sponsorship packages are priced to cover costs and maximize profitability.
- Secure corporate sponsors for hands-on workshops by partnering with the Professional Education Committee to monetize topics, content, and speaker selections for the annual scientific session.
- Participate in virtual monthly Professional Education Committee meetings and serve as a liaison to other volunteer groups as assigned.

Salary: USD 60,000 to 70,000 per year
