Business Development Manager
Job Description
SupplyPoint is hiring a Business Development Manager for Kentucky (remote) focused on new logo acquisition and full quota ownership.
Responsibilities
- Own an assigned territory and drive net-new logo acquisition using cold calling, targeted outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, trade show networking, and distributor partner relationships
- Run the full sales cycle from first contact through discovery, product demonstration, ROI/TCO modeling, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Create and deliver ROI analyses connecting SupplyPoint solutions to reduced consumption, eliminated downtime, shrinkage control, and labor savings
- Engage key decision-makers across operations, supply chain, IT, procurement, and finance
- Develop deep product knowledge across SupplyPoint’s hardware portfolio: progressive drawers, carousels, smart lockers, electronic cabinets, and kiosk systems; plus software suite: VendTel, WebSync, EndPoint
- Maintain accurate pipeline data, enforce deal-stage discipline, track activity in Salesforce, and forecast consistently
- Build and activate distributor and channel partner relationships to expand market coverage
- Represent SupplyPoint at industry events including MODEX, ProMat, and sector-specific manufacturing and aerospace expos
- Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to sales leadership and product teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years where new business generation was the primary metric (Required)
- Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, MRO, supply chain technology, automated dispensing, or similar asset-intensive environments (Required)
- Track record selling hardware/software solutions or technology-enabled services using a consultative, solution-selling approach (Required)
- Ability to manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles with operations, procurement, finance, and executive leadership (Required)
- Strong Salesforce discipline and pipeline management skills (Required)
- Willingness to travel up to 40% within the territory for customer meetings, site visits, and events (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience (Required)
- Experience competing against MSC Industrial, Fastenal, Grainger, Apex Industrial, or similar (Preferred)
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, or equivalent sales enablement tools (Preferred)
