Business Development - NVOCC Sales

Translink Shipping Inc. is expanding its international NVOCC sales presence from a Schaumburg, Illinois base. The role centers on developing new business and managing key accounts within the NVOCC and forwarding sector, requiring a proven sales track record and solid industry knowledge. The successful candidate will blend strategic outreach with attentive client service, using centralized reporting tools to drive opportunity generation.

Overview

In this International Sales Representative position, you will market transportation and related services typical of an NVOCC. You will bring established sales leads and development strategies to create new opportunities, supported by our centralized reporting systems. You will monitor market conditions and share insights with the team through monthly forums, while maintaining your account base and quotations in our software to sustain business growth and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Sell transportation and related services typical of NVOCC operations.
• Leverage existing leads and development strategies to generate new opportunities through centralized reporting tools.
• Monitor market conditions and keep the sales team informed with industry insights and trends via monthly updates.
• Maintain and grow the account base and quotations in the central software while continuing business development and delivering attentive customer service.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience with a track record of success in similar roles.
• Ability to execute on business development initiatives and upsell within the client base.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to deliver significant value to each account.
• Knowledge of Far East/Southeast Asia preferred; experience with South and Central America trade is a plus.
• Candidates must have prior experience in NVOCC and/or related forwarding operations.
