Job Description

ConServe’s sales organization seeks a business development leader to drive net-new revenue by selling first-party BPO and related customer experience and customer care outsourcing solutions to mid-to-large enterprise organizations across the United States. This role will own complex sales pursuits, manage opportunity pipelines in CRM, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and close contracting opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual new client acquisition and revenue growth quotas, including monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan targeting higher education, financial services, utilities, healthcare, and enterprise customer engagement organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, pursue, and close First-Party BPO, customer care, contact center outsourcing, servicing, and customer experience opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive decision makers, procurement teams, contracting officers, program managers, customer experience leaders, and operational stakeholders.
  • Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, conferences, trade associations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead complex sales pursuits from initial engagement through contract execution.
  • Collaborate with operations, compliance, technology, legal, proposal, and executive leadership teams to develop customized solutions and winning proposals.
  • Support and lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, Sources Sought notices, and other procurement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts, account plans, and activity tracking in CRM systems.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, planning sessions, training programs, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Maintain prospect files, follow-up systems, and sales contracts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Submit required sales reporting and administrative requirements on a timely basis.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including ConServe’s Blueprint Quality Management System, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program, as well as applicable client and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Seven or more years of proven success in consultative business development, enterprise sales, strategic account management, or BPO solution sales.
  • Demonstrated experience selling First-Party BPO services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling contact center outsourcing.
  • Demonstrated experience selling customer care solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience selling customer experience (CX) services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling customer servicing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience selling citizen engagement services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling constituent services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling business process outsourcing solutions.
  • Proven success selling multi-year enterprise service engagements with annual contract values exceeding $500,000.
  • Proven ability to develop opportunities and close complex sales involving multiple stakeholders, procurement processes, operational leaders, and executive decision makers.
  • Consistent history of meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets.
  • Strong presentation, proposal development, negotiation, and closing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant business development experience will be considered.

  • Established professional network in higher education, financial services, utilities, healthcare, or enterprise customer engagement organizations.
  • Ability to travel in excess of 50%.
  • Ability to travel to ConServe offices as required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • High-energy, self-directed professional capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated territory management, pipeline management, and forecasting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance if required.
  • No conflicts of interest with ConServe or its clients.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or remain sedentary during the workday.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, video conference, and in-person meetings throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand and present during client meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle and travel by commercial airline.

  • Location: Fairport, NY (onsite)
  • Compensation: USD 100,000 per year
