Business Development Representative
Job Description
Arkwright Industrial LLC is expanding its business development efforts within the oil and gas sector. This full-time, onsite role in Odessa, Texas emphasizes lead generation, market research, and building lasting client relationships to advance growth through proposals and strategic initiatives. The position offers a base salary range of $150,000 to $175,000 per year, plus commission, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities to support Arkwright Industrial's growth initiatives
- Identify and pursue leads through prospecting, networking, and outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Present the company's capabilities and services to potential clients
- Prepare proposals and assist with pricing and contract negotiations
- Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity using CRM and reporting tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project handoff and client satisfaction
- Monitor market trends and provide feedback on competitive activity and industry developments
- Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the oil & gas or energy sector
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data for strategic planning
- Effective verbal and written communication for engaging clients and team members
- Customer service skills to build and maintain enduring client relationships
- Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) tools is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in industrial construction, fabrication, or a related field is a strong plus
