Job Description

Allianz Trade in Baltimore offers a hybrid work arrangement and a leadership opportunity to design, build, and scale a high‑performing Business Development function. The role provides a base salary range of USD 165,000 to 190,000 per year, with eligibility for annual bonuses or commissions as part of total compensation. Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously optimize the end-to-end BD operating system, shaping go-to-market approaches, inbound and outbound programs, performance metrics, technology enablement, and talent development.
  • Develop and scale the BD operating model, defining the Ideal Customer Profile, refining segmentation, and aligning outbound and inbound strategies.
  • Drive pipeline generation metrics, including conversion rates, pipeline per representative, and sales velocity.
  • Implement data‑driven sales processes with qualification frameworks and structured performance scorecards.
  • Utilize CRM, sales technology, and AI tools to boost productivity and derive actionable insights.
  • Recruit, coach, and lead a high‑performance BD team with a clear career path into field sales.
  • Collaborate across marketing, sales, and partner teams to deliver integrated go‑to‑market initiatives.
  • Drive ongoing improvement through data analysis, testing, and optimization of messaging and outreach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of B2B sales experience, including 3–5+ years leading or building BD/SDR teams.
  • Proven ability to build and scale pipeline generation functions beyond managing established processes.
  • Track record of optimizing conversion rates, pipeline quality, and sales velocity.
  • Experience in complex, solution‑based selling to senior decision makers.
  • Expertise with CRM and sales engagement tools (eg, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft).
  • Experience implementing structured prospecting cadences and outbound sales motions.
  • Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and operational capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with marketing and sales operations.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence technologies (GenAI, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) and enthusiasm for integrating AI into everyday business processes.

Compensation and Location

Location: Hybrid remote in Baltimore, MD 21202. Total compensation range: USD 165,000 to 190,000 per year.
