Job Description

Dynamic business development professional focused on growing Houston Methodist hospital services in the Clear Lake and Baytown regions by building relationships with senior leaders and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with corporate clients, hospital leadership, and C-suite executives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand managed care services within hospital systems
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, leadership, and internal teams to facilitate seamless collaboration
  • Assist employers and organizations in navigating healthcare benefits and employee care solutions
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to executive-level stakeholders
  • Track, manage, and report on business development activities and outcomes
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape within the healthcare sector
  • Educate stakeholders including physicians, office staff, other healthcare entities, employers, and the community about Houston Methodist services and access options to increase utilization
  • Market services to the assigned market area
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective business and provide regular reports to leadership
  • Collaborate closely with Houston Methodist Medical Staff, Directors/Managers/Executives, and office staff to expand service utilization
  • Travel regularly to fulfill responsibilities

Requirements

  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies to safely perform the job, evaluated through ongoing assessments and performance evaluations
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English sufficient for essential functions, especially where safety or security is involved
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and coworkers with a customer service focus
  • Capacity to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities in a constructive manner
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, word-processing, and presentation software
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information professionally
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: Five years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field; current Houston Methodist employees may count related experience toward total years
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Travel: May require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area and outside it
  • On-call: No
  • Work attire: Business professional
