Business Development Specialist - Bilingual Chinese
Job Description
Forest Lawn offers a hybrid work arrangement in Glendale, CA, with an hourly pay range of $31 to $37. This bilingual Chinese role focuses on warm, outbound outreach to revive cold leads, educate families on preplanning, and book appointments through high-volume activity. You will build trust-based, long-term relationships and collaborate with the Advance Planning, Marketing, and other teams, handling 100+ call attempts daily.
Responsibilities
- Deliver caring and compassionate service to Forest Lawn client families.
- Initiate and nurture relationships with families to create meaningful, lasting connections through outbound calls, email, social media, and direct mail campaigns.
- Perform outbound cold calls to generate leads, introduce Forest Lawn services, and educate families on the value of preplanning.
- Overcome objections and clearly communicate Forest Lawn Pre-planning value propositions.
- Qualify leads, schedule sales appointments, and ensure appointments align with client requirements and the CET process.
- Prioritize projects and contribute to business growth while meeting monthly/weekly activity goals and quarterly KPIs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and legal requirements to remain current in the funeral industry.
- Collaborate with the Client Engagement Manager and other teams such as Marketing and Advance Planning to exchange feedback and achieve targets.
- Initiate and maintain long-term relationships with families through outbound channels and maintain consistent follow-up communications.
- Keep accurate client records, communications, follow-ups, and lead activity within Salesforce CRM.
- Other duties as needed to support the organization.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese is required.
- Hybrid schedule with onsite presence three days per week.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of outbound calling or prospecting with a proven track record of generating leads and setting sales appointments.
- Confident communicator who enjoys building meaningful connections with client families through outbound outreach.
- Strong writing skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail and time management.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable results through outbound lead-generation efforts.
- Strong relationship-building skills to engage prospects, nurture leads, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Resilience to handle rejection and persist in pursuing new opportunities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Salesforce CRM experience is preferred.
