Dealer Sales Manager
Job Description
Exeter Finance LLC is seeking a Dealer Sales Manager to oversee a diverse dealer network in Seattle, onsite. The role centers on driving loan application volume and cultivating strong dealer partnerships while ensuring sales targets are consistently met. It also leads training and development initiatives and serves as the primary liaison between the organization and dealership partners to execute the business strategy. The position is based onsite in Seattle, WA, with a yearly salary range of USD 71,100 to 95,550.
Responsibilities
- Conducts regular dealer visits to enhance engagement, ensure compliance, and deliver product and strategic performance insights.
- Analyzes and interprets dealer performance data and market trends to identify growth opportunities, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provides in-depth training and coaching to dealership teams to enhance product knowledge and improve sales techniques.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, credit, funding) to drive and execute promotional programs, resolve complex dealer issues, and deliver solutions that address dealer needs.
- Leads recruitment of new dealers by developing recommendations and leading onboarding efforts.
- Serves as a mentor to junior sales team members and leads new hire training.
- Represents the company at dealer events, conferences, and industry meetings to strengthen brand presence and partnerships.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, degree preferred
- Work Experience: 5+ years in auto finance operations
- Three (3) plus years of successful sales experience, auto experience preferred
- Strong ability to analyze data, draw valid conclusions, and suggest effective solutions using critical thinking skills and sound judgment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences and respond effectively
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service, including the ability to remain calm and courteous in challenging situations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes
- Ability to travel regularly to meet with dealers and attend events, while maintaining a professional appearance to support a positive company image
- Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must have a current valid driver’s license, with no major incidences on driving record in the past 5 years
- Must live in market
