Role Overview
The District Sales Manager will provide sales leadership and account development for the WIX FILTER and MANN FILTER brands within the greater Seattle, WA or Portland, OR market. The role combines strategic planning with ongoing field engagement, requiring substantial travel within the assigned geographic district while operating remotely.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed annual sales quotas and budgets
- Maintain prompt, accurate communications via telephone, e-mail, reports, and required forms
- Understand general business mathematics, discount structures, promotional programs, and reporting requirements
- Manage customer relationships through Salesforce CRM
- Participate in customer business reviews and planning sessions
- Maintain accurate records
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Coordinate and conduct sales, training, and customer meetings
- Maintain MANN+HUMMEL customer-service standards and resolve problems professionally and ethically
- Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information to inform growth and profitability
- Develop understanding of trends impacting customers, market dynamics, and business drivers
- Complete Fleet Surveys
- Participate in customer inventories, changeovers and inventory relocations
- Continuously update job knowledge and skills
- Extensive daily business travel, including some overnight travel, within the district
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of successful outside sales experience
- Ability to achieve sales goals using sound business management, customer management, relationship-building, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Ability to conduct product training and implement new ideas
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Up to 65% travel (Domestic/Regional)
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
