Job Description

The District Sales Manager will lead a territory in Southwest Texas for THESIS PHARMACY LLC, supporting provider engagement and technology-enabled sales initiatives across a 503A compounding pharmacy business with an upcoming 503B expansion. Based in Rio Grande City, TX (onsite), this field-focused role blends territory planning, relationship development, and measurable revenue growth for customized medication solutions.

You will own strategic go-to-market execution across key therapeutic areas and partnership opportunities, while using CRM, analytics, and digital engagement tools to improve forecasting accuracy and optimize ROI by region, campaign, and provider channel.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement territory sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Identify high-value market opportunities, including ophthalmology, men’s health, women’s health, IV wellness, dermatology, pain management, and weight management, plus hospital partnerships.
  • Expand the provider network through targeted relationship-building and data-driven territory optimization.
  • Oversee key accounts and cultivate executive-level partnerships with multi-site clinics, medical groups, and hospital systems.
  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare providers, decision-makers, and referral sources.
  • Ensure compliant messaging on compounded formulations, product differentiators, and value propositions.
  • Champion CRM and sales automation platforms to drive visibility, accountability, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Use analytics to track performance, identify trends, and adjust strategy in real time.
  • Partner with IT and marketing to enhance digital engagement tools, e-prescription portals, and telehealth integrations.
  • Leverage data dashboards to evaluate ROI across regions, campaigns, and provider channels.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies within a defined geographic region to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct face-to-face clinical consultations with medical professionals to explain product features, benefits, and clinical data.
  • Nurture long-term partnerships with hospital staff, administrators, and procurement departments.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, submit purchase orders, and prepare sales reports for leadership.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and prescriber patterns, then translate insights into real-time strategy adjustments.
  • Support sales budgeting, resource allocation, and ROI optimization.

Key responsibilities for the district sales role

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new healthcare provider accounts, including physicians, clinics, and hospitals.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with prescribers and key decision-makers.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the clinical value and applications of compounded medications.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of compounding services, FDA and DEA regulations, and industry standards.
  • Track sales activities, manage customer databases, submit reports, and monitor prescription and market trends.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced healthcare/business degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of medical sales experience.
  • Compounding pharmacy sales experience required.
  • Proven success managing territories and achieving growth targets.
  • Strong business acumen with experience implementing scalable sales processes.
  • Technological proficiency with CRM platforms, analytics tools, and digital health solutions.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Strong technical proficiency with medical terminology, anatomy, and therapeutic areas.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific data into persuasive presentations.
  • Proven negotiation, prospecting, and closing skills.
