Hotel Director of Sales / Corporate Sales Manager
Job Description
Director of Sales and Corporate Sales Manager for Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport, focused on corporate growth and revenue for a dual branded, recently renovated property in Birmingham, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Generate new corporate business while maintaining existing accounts through on site visits, external sales calls, telemarketing, and email outreach.
- Oversee a portfolio of corporate clients, negotiating room night rates and contracts for meetings and event spaces.
- Lead property tours and familiarization trips to showcase hotel facilities to prospective clients.
- Create and execute action plans to hit budget targets, leveraging brand and management tools and analyzing market trends.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community functions while expanding relationships with local leaders and guests.
- Collaborate with front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to meet client needs and revenue goals.
- Maintain sales files, prepare reports, and process reservations as part of sales administration.
- Participate in bi weekly revenue, marketing, and corporate strategy calls and assist with daily rate monitoring and adjustments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel sales with a focus on the corporate segment.
- Strong contract and rate negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for client presentations and contract preparation.
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS/HotelKey), sales platforms (Delphi or STS Cloud), and Microsoft Office.
- Solid knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
