Job Description

The PreOwned Car Sales Director leads the Park Place Porsche used car operation in Dallas, onsite, overseeing the preowned department, developing sales consultants, managing vendor relationships, and driving monthly sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Operationally manage and drive the used car department by developing sales consultants, coordinating with third party vendors, and achieving monthly sales quotas.
  • Engage with employees and customers to strengthen relationships and bridge gaps in the sales process.
  • Build a customer referral network by establishing rapport with buyers.
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals.
  • Oversee all facets of the sales department and the inventory lot.
  • Procure vehicles for inventory from auctions and off-lease returns.
  • Coordinate with lot attendants to tag and position vehicles properly.
  • Perform trade appraisals and enter data into the vehicle management system.
  • Desk deals, maintain revenue logs, and generate retail delivery reports.
  • Maintain inventory turnover within policy guidelines (45-60 days max).
  • Partner with wholesale vendors and execute wholesale opportunities when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with third party vendors and the service department to complete internal service work on used vehicles before listing.
  • Develop and administer annual forecasts and budgets for the used vehicle department.
  • Manage factory sponsored programs accessible to the department.
  • Step in for the New Car Sales Manager when needed.
  • Prior experience as a sales consultant and F&I manager is required; prior New Car Sales Manager experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of automotive experience.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Handle a high volume of business with professionalism and composure.
  • Experience resolving conflicts and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and dealer management systems.
  • Build relationships with local and national vendors.
  • Pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug tests.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of automotive experience.
  • Prior experience as a sales consultant and F&I manager.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and dealer management systems.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
