Regional Sales Manager

In this onsite role in Los Angeles, CA, you will lead a field team, build regional business plans, and drive results in a competitive cardiovascular market while partnering with cross-functional experts to support seamless brand execution.
Compensation: Annual base salary $175,000 to $185,000. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions and/or bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
What you’ll do
- Translate national and area sales strategies into localized region-level business plans that capitalize on market opportunities and address competitive dynamics.
- Use analytics and market research to analyze market data, sales trends, and KPIs, identifying growth opportunities and adjusting tactics proactively.
- Lead and coach a team of Cardiovascular Sales Representatives (CSRs) to educate targeted physicians and accounts and achieve business goals.
- Direct CSRs in the acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted business across the assigned geographic area.
- Drive consistent engagement and development of key accounts and customers through strategies aligned to regional objectives.
- Spend consistent time in the field conducting live calls with CSRs and deliver real-time, constructive, actionable feedback to strengthen sales capabilities, clinical/scientific knowledge, and execution.
- Attract, coach, develop, and retain individuals who demonstrate strong selling skills, account management, and compliant customer engagement.
- Oversee and optimize the territory, managing resource allocation, budget execution, and performance metrics to meet or exceed goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (FRMs, TLLs, marketing, training, compliance, and medical affairs) to align field initiatives and execute brand strategies.
- Maintain full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and compliance policies and uphold a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as required.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical, medical, or related sales experience.
- 3+ years first line sales leadership experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical field.
- Cardiovascular/Cardiometabolic experience highly preferred.
- Previous team and new product launch experience in a specialty disease area.
- Market access/reimbursement experience highly preferred.
- Ability to learn complex scientific information and communicate effectively.
- Proven track record leading successful sales teams in competitive environments with initiative, accountability, and compliant actions.
- Strong business acumen, including interpreting company-provided territory data to support call planning and execution.
- Proficiency with CRM, AI tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 60%, including potential overnight and/or weekend travel.
