Job Description

High Ground Equipment is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow the Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island market from its Plaistow, NH base. This hybrid role blends field visits with strategic account development, centered on premium heavy equipment and rental solutions.

In this position, you will build long-term customer relationships with contractors, site managers, and operators, guide buyers through equipment options, and pursue new opportunities while earning uncapped commissions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island territory, cultivating lasting relationships and driving equipment sales and rentals
  • Assist customers in identifying equipment solutions aligned with operational goals, production needs, and budgets
  • Conduct regular in-person site visits to assess needs and recommend equipment solutions
  • Build relationships with contractors, site managers, equipment operators, and business owners
  • Prospect for new opportunities while growing existing accounts
  • Lead customers through the purchasing and rental process from initial contact through delivery
  • Collaborate with company leadership to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage your pipeline, schedule follow-ups, and maintain customer records
  • Partner with parts, service, and operations teams to ensure excellent post-sale support
  • Travel throughout the territory as needed; company vehicle or vehicle allowance provided

Requirements

  • Motivated, customer-focused sales professional with a strong drive to succeed
  • Comfortable building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing business
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with heavy equipment is a strong advantage
  • Experience in heavy equipment, construction, material processing, industrial equipment, or B2B sales is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to learn and explain how equipment works to help customers make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, self-directed, and dependable with the ability to manage your own territory
  • Based in Massachusetts or Rhode Island is preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Experience

  • Environmental Equipment (Crushing, Screening, Wood Grinding): 1 year (Preferred)
  • Heavy Equipment Sales: 2 years (Required)
