Job Description

An energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) will generate qualified leads and serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, supporting technology and inside sales efforts at UCCU Insurance Services in Provo, Utah. This onsite position combines proactive outreach with thorough qualification to advance opportunities for our technology solutions. The role offers an hourly compensation range of $16 to $25.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate outbound calling campaigns to identify and qualify potential business clients, using warm calling methods to establish initial contact.
  • Engage prospects through telemarketing, building relationships through clear communication and attentive listening.
  • Maintain records in CRM systems like Salesforce, capturing interactions, updating lead data, and managing the sales pipeline efficiently.
  • Qualify inbound inquiries by understanding customer needs, delivering product information, and arranging follow-up meetings for account executives.
  • Develop a solid understanding of our technology solutions to clearly convey value propositions in technical sales discussions.
  • Assist business development efforts by researching target markets, identifying decision-makers, and executing strategic outreach.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, telemarketing, or inside sales, with emphasis on technology or software solutions.
  • Solid negotiation abilities with the capacity to influence key decision-makers confidently.
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience using CRM platforms like Salesforce to manage customer relationships and sales activities.
  • Understanding of sales processes, including outbound and warm calling and customer service best practices.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proven business development skills with a proactive approach to creating new opportunities.
