Sales Development Trainer
Job Description
The Sales Development Trainer is a full-time position focused on delivering selling skills and product training across LBX's North American distribution and rental channels, including in-person sessions at the Customer Experience Center, regional schools, dealer-specific programs, and online modules, developed in collaboration with the Learning and Development team.
Responsibilities
- Plan, budget, and run training programs, handling travel, setup, class time, and quarterly scheduling for the CEC, regional schools, and dealer-specific initiatives.
- Collect post-session feedback to drive improvements and measure learner satisfaction.
- Develop new training content, update existing product materials, maintain the training library, and design agendas that incorporate e-learning modules.
- Create additional Selling Skills training modules.
- Build relationships and conduct industry research by traveling with field teams in sales and customer support to engage distribution.
- Gather dealer feedback to identify training and coaching needs.
- Support other marketing activities as needed.
Requirements
- Familiarity with construction equipment, jobsite demands, dealer network structure, and dealer sales processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, collaborative team player capable of coordinating with multiple internal teams to achieve objectives.
- Self-motivated with the ability to seek help and feedback when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications.
- At least four years of experience in the construction equipment industry, either at the dealer level or with another OEM in sales, management, or training.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and a professional online presence.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Able to interact and work effectively with others.

Supervisory responsibilities
None, but leadership is required.
Travel expectations
Based in Lexington, KY, travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally as workload dictates, using multiple transportation modes.
Working conditions
- Extended periods of seated work at a computer, with intervals of standing during training.
- Occasional walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, climbing on equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
