Job Description

MMGY Global is seeking a Sales Director for TravelDesk to lead the development, growth, and management of its digital advertising business across the United States and North America. The role is based in New York, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, and the ideal candidate may also be based in Overland Park, KS or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial growth for TravelDesk across the US and North America.
  • Leverage sales experience and industry relationships to raise TravelDesk visibility.
  • Consistently surpass personal revenue targets.
  • Define and lead the go-to-market strategy to win and grow strategic clients across the region.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that educate the market and demonstrate TravelDesk’s value to clients and agencies.
  • Build and close new business from direct clients and agencies.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Create proactive proposals and maintain an active pipeline to support TravelDesk’s growth strategy.
  • Provide strategic input on RFPs, RFQs, and pitches for new business.
  • Advise new clients on programmatic strategy, promoting multichannel and multi-market activations via TravelDesk, contributing net new logos to MMGY Global.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and advance opportunities in the pipeline.
  • Collaborate with MMGY and TravelDesk account teams, media teams, ad operations, and campaign management to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Work with Account Management, Ad Operations, and Programmatic Strategy teams to pitch, launch, and execute campaigns, deliver insights, and renew business.
  • Articulate the value of TravelDesk products and solutions, including competitive offerings, in terms meaningful to customers.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment where initiative and innovative thinking are encouraged.
  • 8+ years of experience in programmatic advertising sales, preferably within the travel and tourism sector.
  • Experience in shaping and deploying go-to-market strategies to drive net new ad revenue.
  • Conversant with core programmatic advertising technologies and buying structures.
  • Proven track record of exceeding ad revenue targets.
  • Existing network of contacts within the advertising industry across travel and tourism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and marketing personnel at all levels.
  • Experience working with data partners and vendors to deliver innovative programmatic solutions.
  • Highly organized and methodical in approach.
  • Must be proactive and able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Compensation

Salary: USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year base, plus commission.
