Sales Manager
Job Description
Inspire Event Technologies LLC is seeking an Audio Visual Sales Manager to drive AV revenue for a specific hotel or venue in Arlington, VA. In this onsite role, you will work at the property level to translate client meeting needs into the right audio visual solutions while coordinating closely with hotel stakeholders and the internal AV team to support smooth events.
As the primary sales contact for the property, you will generate quotes, manage client communication, and align ongoing opportunities with revenue targets. You will also participate in both onsite and off-site meetings to evaluate event requirements before, during, and after the event cycle.
Responsibilities
- Own sales at the property by generating quotes, corresponding with clients, and targeting revenue goals.
- Partner with clients to understand meeting needs and perspective, then match those needs to AV services and products.
- Coordinate with hotel sales staff and other stakeholders to reach out to upcoming clients and secure AV business.
- Attend on-site and off-site visits with prospective clients, including pre- and post-event meetings.
- Negotiate directly with clients to secure AV business and align with the client’s vision.
- Work closely with AV staff to advise on the selection and acquisition of AV equipment and labor.
- Review final billing with the client and obtain approval of all AV charges.
- Negotiate billing when necessary to support complete client satisfaction.
- Follow up after events with thank-you letters and post-event service evaluations.
Requirements
- Strong customer service, sales, and hospitality skills.
- Proven ability to build positive customer relationships and consistently focus on customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with audio-visual equipment capabilities, set-up, and general operations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, networking, IT device management, and PC and Mac operations.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form, with clarity, concision, sincerity, and persuasiveness.
- Creativity and initiative in capturing AV business.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, sometimes stressful team environment.
- High ownership and self-initiation, paired with a positive professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules, including nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.
- Ability to meet professional grooming and presentation standards required by the hotel partner or specific worksite.

Salary: USD 65,000 to 78,000 per year
