Knotwood is hiring a West Coast Architectural Business Development Representative to help grow our presence across architectural and design communities. This remote role is built for relationship-driven sellers who enjoy working with the teams and decision-makers behind wall systems and specification. You’ll support long-term, sustainable revenue growth while coordinating training, technical follow-up, and market development with internal partners.
Location: Remote (must reside near Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, or San Diego)
Compensation: $60,000 - $160,000 per year
What you’ll do
- Implement and evaluate agreed upon sales strategies and programs.
- Present AIA/CES courses to the architectural community.
- Deliver product knowledge training sessions to general contractors and installers.
- Build and strengthen a spec position for Knotwood products, prioritizing relationships with architects and specifiers.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with key general contractors and installers to influence material changes and position Knotwood as a preferred cladding option.
- Develop and expand a referral network of installers.
- Use construction-related platforms to spot opportunities and track existing Knotwood projects.
- Create and manage a robust pipeline aligned with future growth expectations.
- Coordinate market intelligence covering products, programs, shipping, and market segments.
- Collaborate with Knotwood personnel as needed for technical assistance, training, project start-up, dealer support, contractor assistance, and problem resolution.
- Participate in local design organizations.
- Join national, regional, and local promotional or trade show activities as required.
- Document all activities in Hubspot.
What you bring
- Familiarity with wall assemblies.
- 2+ years of building products sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
