Area Sales Manager
Job Description
Based in Fenton, MO, this on-site Area Sales Manager will lead a field sales team within the designated territory, coaching performance and driving revenue in support of Rentokil Terminix initiatives. Salary: USD 56,098 - 67,559 per year.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, train, manage and engage frontline sales colleagues in the designated area.
- Foster collaboration between Sales and Operations within the territory to align goals and boost performance.
- Lead weekly team meetings to review performance and conduct skill development sessions as needed.
- Provide ongoing technical training on services offered in the territory when required.
- Conduct regular one-on-one debriefs to improve communication, identify training needs, and inform sales activity improvements.
- Ensure the team meets or exceeds activity standards for Field Sales Colleagues and other KPIs to achieve sales targets.
- Model high standards of personal character, commitment, organization, selling skills, and work habits.
- Monitor progress toward revenue objectives and share accountability with Operations for APITDA realization.
- Monitor sales start rates through the key relationship with Operational Leadership.
- Uphold the Rentokil Terminix business model to ensure programs and initiatives are delivered with excellence at the branch level.
- Coach and develop the team to support ongoing growth and development.
- Plan, organize and order job-related items for new hires.
- Collaborate with new hires to identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate training needs to leadership to support continuous improvement.
- Increase unit sales and revenue by teaching and enforcing company sales practices.
- Work in the field daily with sales colleagues and maintain minimum activity requirements.
- Oversee effective sales programs, ensure proper use of sales materials, and manage materials inventory.
- Set a strong management example and maintain a professional image.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to perform basic business mathematics and analyze sales data.
- Ability to acquire licenses or certificates as required by federal, state or local agencies.
