Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager role is based onsite in Olathe, KS, and centers on generating new leads and opportunities among businesses that use Critical Power. Working in alignment with the documented sales strategy, the position coordinates with the sales team and other departments to engage the right stakeholders for each opportunity, and oversees daily operations of the region's sales and service personnel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate leads from accounts outside the current designated base within the assigned geographic area.
• Develop entry points into prospective customers not presently in the portfolio to collect targeted intelligence.
• Sell Engineering, Furnish, Install, Maintain, and Testing services to Critical Power users.
• Record every lead and opportunity in the CRM, ensuring all required fields are completed.
• Meet with clients in person to present the value proposition and promote the full range of products and services.
• Coordinate and assemble the team members who will participate in the opportunities created.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of sales experience.
• Experience working with Critical Power.
• Ability to consider all facets of selling, including vendor relationships, profit and loss concepts, and the company’s long- and short-term goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
